After processing, preserving coffee beans is an extremely important process that directly affects the taste and aroma of coffee beans. Because it can lead to a loss of quality coffee, taste or even can not be used anymore.

So how to preserve coffee beans for a long time, while still keep the quality and flavor of coffee beans totally.

First, we need to understand the concept of PARCHMENT COFFEE and GREEN BEANS COFFEE because these are the two states where coffee is often taken for preservation. We will then explore the common methods of preserving green coffee beans currently.


1.  PARCHMENT COFFEE:

Parchment coffee is the beans of coffee that has been processed but not hulled so there is still a hard parchment layers cover them.

Parchment coffee is easily susceptible by: Moisture content of the beans, temperature, ventilation of the coffee block and its surroundings.



2. GREEN BEANS COFFEE:

Green beans coffee are the remaining beans after hulled. Because there is no protective layer anymore, the green coffee beans need to be more carefully preserved than parchment coffee, and the storage time of green coffee is usually shorter than that of green coffee.






In order to preserve coffee beans in the best state, we should use the following:

And finally, do not too close the walls or the floor, need to change the order or position after 3 weeks (to avoid being pressurized coffee).
